Hanson Nature Preserve

Location: Hanson Nature Preserve, Santa Clara River at the end of Mission Rock Road

Goal:  The property was acquired by The Nature Conservancy in 2004. Approximately 250 acres of the former gravel mine site was enhanced by removing Arundo, creating wetland habitat, and installing native plant habitat. The Nature Conservancy are the stewards of the property.
